Old Colony
Historical Society is a non-profit institution whose mission is to collect,
care for, and interpret the history of the Taunton region, collaborating with
the community to share meaningful connections between the past, the present,
and the future.

Library and Archives
The library and archives
contain major genealogical holdings as well as local history material,
newspapers, maps, and images. We specialize in research materials
pertaining to A research
by mail service is also available for resources housed within our
building. Fees are $15 per hour plus
25 cents per photocopy. Limited
requests will be accepted via e-mail; please be as specific as possible, and
be sure to give your postal mailing address.

The Society runs an active membership
program with lectures,
workshops, and other special events. It is also engaged in
research and publishing. We offer some of these publications
